Quay County is part of a cohort of 3 County and 3 Tribal Health Councils that are learning to review policy around Climate and Health and advocate for new or revised policies. The state cohort is working on Access to Safe Drinking Water.

The most effective way to minimize waste is to prevent its creation. Producing new products emits greenhouse gases, consumes materials, and requires energy, involving raw material extraction, fabrication, and transportation.
