Quay County Climate and Health Project

Quay County is collaborating with two other County Health Councils and three Tribal Health Councils to review policies related to Climate and Health and to advocate for new or updated policies. At the state level, the team is focusing on Safe Drinking Water, working to improve access to water quality data and community notifications in times of water contamination emergencies. For Quay County, this involved analyzing collected data, preparing a Final Water System Disparity Statement for Quay County.pdf with recommendations, and sharing the findings with local communities.

The Village of Logan uses an electronic notification system that allows water customers to receive important water-related alerts—both emergency and non-emergency—by email, phone, or text message. This would include notifications such as boil water notices or threats to protect public health when treated water is unsafe for consumption. Once you sign up, you will also be able to access other important tools such as monitoring your water use and detecting potential leaks.
